Thanks to the Hospital Liason Committee the faith of many a JW is protected and their decisions respected.
Thanks, thanks, thanks to the Hospital Liason Committee arrangement. It's a wonderful provision for faithful JWs in these times.

please be aware if you have just faded and were baptised , if you or your family have a major life or death accident the mongols from the hospital liason committe will always be there before you and will still try to take over the care for the family member.
why does this happen, you need to delete the master records of all family members and they are now not jw any more, if you don't they will still be called and you will have a fight on your hands to get them to leave.
contact your doctor / gp or hospital and get this sorted out.

there were some preachers at my apartment building.
not sure which religion they were, but definitely not jws.
they were wearing normal people clothing.
Doublelife,
It could also be that these people don't have the training and determination that JWs do in reaching everybody in their territory; maybe, I just thought, if they're an elitist type of religion and you look too screwed up (tattoos, piercings, slutty or trashy looking) maybe they'd have thought that they don't want a person like that in their group.
Just some of my thoughts. Ask them next time you see them.
We had a person in the congregation that was homeless at the time he was reached by JWs; he progressed to the point of straightening out his life, rented a place, bought a car, started working, you know, lived a dignified life for a while. Just the other day I heard he started to hang around his old friends and now is back in the drunk homeless life. Sad.
DY
there is a lot of information available about questions to ask jws.
it's a good thing to make them think a little more instead of being spoon fed all the time.. one question that could be posed is - where did the the 'new light' come from?
(answer) so where did the 'old light' come from?.
Go to www.watchtower.org and research that question if you're really interested. You'll sure find the answer there.
Also, you can check out the book 'Reasoning From The Scriptures' and read the chapter titled Jehovah's Witnesses; the answers to many of your questions are there.
Remember, though, as Paul the Apostle said "Faith is not possessed by all". The book of Hebrews, Chapter 11, has a beautiful rendition of what faith is.

i like this place.
i like the mix of posters.
i think it's a helpful site and most informative..
It's a bit of entertainment for me; also, I get to give my 2 cents worth of advice and sometimes defense against all the disgruntled JWs/ex-JWs, that don't follow Biblical directions properly then get the awful results of their behaviors and then come all mad posting here lies and half-truths often.
Thanks for asking!

i don't know if i've shared this with the board before, but i finally got my driver's license.
i'm one step closer to getting the hell out of my jw family's reach and finding independence.
and even much better news, a friend of a friend offered me a job as a sandwich delivery driver and my boss from my seasonal job offered me a job as a marketer/snow shoveler.
You just got your license? Is it safe to assume you're a minor then?!
How about hanging around a bit longer with your horrible JW family until you get enough education for a job that will support yourself and eventually a family, if you decide so for your future?!
Be wise; when I was going through my teen rebelious kick, which lasted well into my mid 20s, at least I was smart enough not to leave the fold until I was done with a college education and held a job that could support myself and all my indulgences very nicely at that time.
Acting hastily will make for many headaches for you and your family, as terrible as you think they are, because, like some of my family members, that hate the Organization, but there they are hanging around us JWs in the family for help all the time!
Be patient and make your plans as firm as possible. Right now, as you describe them, those plans are weak and flaky at best. Come now, what's the rush?!
DY
at this point i absolutely hate field service.
i have to keep going hough, or else the brothers in my group will be all over my back.
part of me just doesnt give a f***, but something inside me doent wanna have to deal with it.
You're a minor. Comply the best you can and when you can become an independent adult, if you're still going through your rebelious kick, by all means, move on out and be happy.
Be careful out there, though. It took me some years and horrible experiences to realize that, it's true, the Organization is a protection for us in these tough times we're living. You'll see that in time.

just saw this posted on watchtower uncensored .... .
want to hear the latest debacle?
the po in my mom's congregation told them that at the next 1-day-assembly it will be the responsibility of every publisher to put 3 in the box towards the running costs at the assembly hall.
I went to "Convert £ Sterling into any currency using Moneyextra's UK currency converter" and got $4.66 per publisher.
Still cheap!!! Costs will be covered, not to worry!
Hey 'cantleave', ease up on the rage; it's just not necessary, and it can hurt your health, actually.
DY
this box appears in the new awake.. how can they say they have no clergy class?
what is the governing body?
how can they say they take no money collections at kingdom halls when the contribution boxes are very visible and we are reminded to give?
For well over a year now the Organization has stopped reading the financial statements of the congregations publicly. A very nice improvement indeed; it seemed a bit much like the "give, give, give" message dispensed at other religions. However, the contribution boxes continue to be present and clearly marked for the mere reality that all of our activities and our buildings need maintenance, remodeling, and, due to the recent and continuous growth, expansion, and all that must be covered by ourselves.
Putting it in perspective, just the other day I felt quite dignified and proud of our method of personal/conscientious contribution as opposed to the other ineffective ways other religious organizations gather their funds: At several traffic light locations throughout my City now it's normal to see people from some denomination with buckets and signs asking for donations. They look terrible in appearance and even their collection buckets are dirty and unpresentable. Then there are the others here that do car washes, advertize flea markets or food sales in the newspapers in order to collect $$$.
Our way of gathering funds, and giving plenty of our own personal resources is definitely the best way, if I may say so myself! Plus, what we show for it is so much more abundant, nicer, cleaner, bigger, cost effective... BETTER!!!
How could you all not see it for what it really is?! Oh, I forgot... the Bible does mention how Satan blindfolds and deafens people.
DY
the january wt has some good stuff in it.
the basic message is that armageddon is just about to come, god will kill people, and jws will be spared because they use gods name (of all things!
he is really picky about that name!).
I live by faith, love and infinite gratitude to Jehovah God as though Armageddon is coming today. However, I continue to prepare secularly as though it won't come anytime soon!
It's what works for this particular JW.

3 Euros?! That's cheap! Talk about 'cost effective'; good job on the part of the Organization! Kudos!!!
I'm sure there will be way more than that worth of contributions for that and any other assembly. Here in the States it works out that way all the time.
We JWs are well aware that gatherings, KHs, etc., bring costs that must be covered by us the members. Come now, what's the big deal here?
We're getting quite pathetic about the things we complaint about lately, aren't we?!
